BOARD OF TRADE,
GWYDYR HOUSE,
WHITEHALL,
596
LONDON, S.W.
26th June, 1917.
ADVISORY COMMITTEE ON COMMERCIAL INTELLIGENCE..
I am directed by the Chairman to forward to you herewith, for your confidential information, copy of a Report upon the probable position of British Trade in the Far East after the War, by Mr. T. M. Ainscough who, as you will recållect, carried out, on behalf of the Committee, in 1915, an enquiry into the conditions and prospects of British trade in China.
I am to explain that the enclosed is a purely confidential report to the Board of Trade, treating the Far Eastern markets in the same way as Mr. Bray's recent confidential report dealt with Latin American markets after the War.
C.M. Lambert Esq., C.B.
I am,
Sir,
Your obedient Servant,
Percy Pichley:
Secretary.
